Do not roll down your windows for at least 3 days to ensure the adhesive bonds securely to the glass.
Your new window tint will take about 3-5 days to fully dry and cure – sometimes up to 2 weeks depending on the vehicle, tint type, and weather conditions. During this time, your newly tinted windows may appear hazy or lumpy with water bubbles. Please do not roll your tinted windows down or try to push the water out until it is dry!
If you notice light haze or small water pockets during the first week, that is typically part of the curing process. Let it dry naturally and avoid cleaners on the inside of the glass until the film has fully set.
Yes – quality tint can help cut harsh brightness and reduce eye strain on those open, sun-exposed stretches. We will help you choose a shade and film type that improves comfort while keeping visibility clear at night.
It helps. While no film makes a car ‘cold,’ good window tint can help reduce heat buildup and UV exposure, so the cabin recovers faster once you start driving and your A/C works less to keep up.
In many SUVs and crossovers, the rear glass is dyed darker from the factory. We can select a film shade for the front doors (and other glass) to create a more uniform look while staying within general Ohio guidance.
Ceramic tint typically offers stronger heat-reduction performance without using metal layers, and it tends to look more color-stable over time. If comfort is your priority – especially on longer highway drives – ceramic is often the best value.
Most modern premium films are designed to avoid signal problems. Issues are more commonly associated with older metallized films. If you use toll tags or windshield-mounted devices, we can advise on placement so everything keeps working normally.
For the first few days, it is normal for tint to look slightly hazy or show small water bubbles as it cures. Do not roll the windows down or try to push water out until the film is fully dry.
Tint rules are enforced based on visible light transmission (VLT) and windshield restrictions. As general guidance, Ohio commonly requires lighter tint on the front side windows and limits what can be applied to the windshield. We can walk through options, but you should confirm current requirements for your vehicle before selecting a shade.
Yes. XPEL offers a lifetime, transferable warranty on their automotive window tint films, which covers against issues like bubbling, peeling, cracking, and fading. This warranty ensures the film will not turn purple or lose its performance over time.
