Do not roll down your windows for at least 3 days to ensure the adhesive bonds securely to the glass.
Your new window tint will take about 3-5 days to fully dry and cure – sometimes up to 2 weeks depending on the vehicle, tint type, and weather conditions. During this time, your newly tinted windows may appear hazy or lumpy with water bubbles. Please do not roll your tinted windows down or try to push the water out until it is dry!
• Avoid ammonia-based cleaners on the inside of tinted windows.
• Use a clean microfiber and light pressure if you need to wipe the inside glass during the cure period.
• Don’t scrape at edges or defroster lines; let the film fully stabilize first.
• Expect curing to take longer during cold snaps and damp lake-effect weeks.
Clean edges come from prep and controlled conditions. In our studio, glass is thoroughly cleaned, patterns are precisely cut, and edges are finished so the tint looks intentional up close – not rushed or wavy.
Yes. Quality film helps reduce glare and interior reflections so your eyes work less on bright afternoons. It won’t remove sunlight entirely, but many drivers feel noticeably less strain on lake-bright days.
It can. Cold and damp conditions can slow drying. Follow the cure guidance closely, keep the windows up, and expect the film to clear as it finishes bonding.
General guidance (confirm current rules): Ohio commonly requires at least 50% VLT on the front side windows and limits windshield tint to a non-reflective top strip above the AS-1 line. Other windows may be darker, and outside mirrors may be required if the rear window is below 50% VLT. Rules and enforcement can change, so verify before choosing a shade.
Dyed films are mainly chosen for looks and basic glare reduction. Ceramic films are popular when you want stronger heat comfort and long-term stability – especially if you prefer a lighter-looking tint that still feels more comfortable.

Yes. Factory privacy glass is dyed glass, not film, so it doesn’t provide the same performance. We can match the front for a uniform look, or apply film across all side/rear glass for the most consistent appearance and comfort.
